4. Objective (purpose)
• Build up direct business with global & local OEM’s, TIER's in Automotive
• Identify and realize opportunities for key products in the market segment Automotive
• Achieve 1-/ 3 Year Plan in the Automotive segment (Result / Volume)
• Achieve personal objectives defined on a yearly base
• Ensure efficient, competent & professional support for key application development projects according to Marketing Concepts

• Realization of market development projects according to plan (Result, time, cost)
• Professional training / coaching of “Local KA-Sales Automotive”

6. Tasks
6.1 Main Tasks
• Analyses market, customer needs and competitors activities in the Automotive segment
• Identifies new opportunities & defines market development projects
• Supports and coordinates global projects & project transfers of European & American OEM & TIER1 with KAM’s UBGR / UBGA
• Manages projects in line with the business unit strategy, using internal resources, controls the target achievement and defines correctives measures as appropriate
• Train & educate local sales engineers in Compay Know-How (materials, applications, company rules & strategies)
• Provides marketing support to the Business Unit Automotive, UBGS
• Organizes customer seminars / training, TECH-Days within the approved budget
• Promotes products through presentations at customers, conferences and exhibitions
• Defines requirements for new products and submit the relevant requests (Idea Sheets)
• Supports in preparing Marketing concepts, 1-/ 3 Year Plan, providing market shares, key trends for strategies in the development areas
• Coordinates market development activities for global accounts (with other BU’s and/or dis- tributors)
• Prepares presentations, documentation specifically on products and applications of market development projects for use by Key Account Sales and distributors
• Focuses on the creation of new sales of the main Products.
6.2 Special Tasks
- Participates actively in the strategic meetings of the Automotive Division UBGS
- Obtains all relevant information on all global activities
- Prepare and submit Reports (monthly, TPC etc.)
- Conducts Automotive TPC’s on a Trimester base
- Secures relevant information exchange among Automotive-Team, Asia Pacific (Monthly Reports, Successes stories, etc.)
7. Authority
• Defines / proposes prices for automotive projects (all materials)
• Defines tasks of ADC, R&D & Key Account Sales according to the needs of the respective market development projects
8. Competence Subject to Approval
• Purchase of materials, market studies, third party consultancy
• Prices outside of boundaries set by PM's
• Contracts and Agreements
9. Relation to other positions
The Key Account Manager Automotive, Korea coordinates his work with colleagues in AD/TCS, Key Account Sales of UBGS and his peers of UBGR and UBGA.
10. Communication
• Answers inquiries from both customers and sales
• Is the centre of information for market development projects
• Prepares & updates projects/products documentations and presentations.
