1. Define with the product program manager and Head of competence team the resources and teams needed to realize the project targets at the start and during the execution of the projects 2. Follow-up the execution of the high Co HLM projects with the relevant project leaders and members and report the progresses of deliverables (e.g. sampling, product design, key quality documents – ICF, D-FMEA, etc) and deviations in timing and scope to the product program manager and head of competence team 3. Adjust at all times the projects, the priorities, and the resources within the project teams and relevant teams with the BCM priorities 4. Lead the high Co HLM project team members by: •providing equal development opportunities, tailored coaching •being responsible for team members and making sure that team members perform •at "natural best" •developing and use expertise in domain of cathode R&D including technologies, precursor, cathode, process, battery applications

1. Functional requirements •PhD >=2 year’s experience or MSc. in Chemistry, Material, Physics with > 5 years’ experience •Experience : PhD thesis experience (for PhD graduates) or experience in project management in the relevant competence domain of cathode active material, process technology, battery technology…) •Science & technology skills requirement : High •Languages: sufficient English level to communicate within the world-wide Umicore organization 2.
