The Medical Science Liaison, Rheumatology position involves: • Advancing science and standards of care for patients, healthcare providers, and payers. • Working as key members of the affiliate medical department, focusing on medical and scientific engagement with AbbVie stakeholders. • Communicating information and facilitating dialogue about AbbVie’s marketed products, and compounds in development, in a strictly scientific, non-promotional manner. • Enhancing the scientific credibility of the company with thought leaders through scientific dialogue and collaborations. • Participating in initiation, oversight, and follow-up of clinical studies and medical projects. • Providing scientific and technical leadership and support to internal teams such as sales and marketing.

• Solid knowledge of the pharmaceutical environment and Medical Affairs’ role. • Demonstrated expertise in scientific methods applied to clinical research. • Ability to learn new subject areas and environments comprehensively. • Excellent written and spoken communication and presentation skills. • A good understanding of written and oral English. • High customer orientation. • Strong commitment to compliance with rules and procedures, and scientific quality and integrity.

• Pharmacist or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline preferred. • Experience in rheumatology and immunology and medical research is highly preferred.
