Responsibilities
• Develop short and long-term strategies for the sales business to achieve revenue growth targets, in line with organizational objectives across both business verticals: Sales + Trading. Respect collaboration with the trading team in particular, and resolve issues with the head of the trading team.
• Maintain contacts communication with local markets and local regulator to identify market changes and identify internal gaps against market.
• Build a franchise network across the region that performs against local and international banks.
• Increase market share for the business and ensure the trade opportunity is fully explored across the region
• Create and ensure the governance and control infrastructure in partnership with control functions. Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit and Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure.
• Build a culture of responsible finance, good governance and supervision, expense discipline and ethics
• Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same, demonstrating proper consideration for the firm’s reputation
• Be familiar with and adhere to xxxxxx Code of Conduct and Global Codes (FX, Derivatives) and the Plan of Supervision for Global Markets and Securities Services; and ensure that all team members understand the need to do the same
• Adhere to all policies and procedures as defined by xxxxxxx internal code of conduct.
• Consider the appropriate licensing framework for the business and the structure for the business to collaborate with Securities both onshore and offshore.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding xxxxxx group, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of sales persons, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
• Maintain regular communication with senior management both onshore and offshore, providing customer trends and industry updates.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in sales & trading strategies and processes.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risks, conduct and compliance matters.
• Follow the instructions of the GM of East Asia Treasury Department Seoul Office.
• As Country Deputy Markets Head for Sales, manage the sales team (3 lines, i.e. FI/NBFI, JP+MNC, and NJP directly report to the Country Deputy Markets Head for Sales). receive reports from each line and make necessary reports to senior managers as defined above.
• Responsible for all management for the subordinates of the 3 sales lines (setup KPI, support to complete, evaluation and HR matters etc.).
• Responsible for solving all issues within the sales team (3 lines: FI/NBFI, JP+MNC, and NJP)
• Responsible for solving issues between the sales team and other teams with the GM of East Asia Treasury Department Seoul Office as necessary.
