Provide strategic guidance and support to the Managing Director, Subsidiary Leadership team, and Regional Head of Government Affairs. Develop & execute Government Affairs strategies in support of our subsidiary’s business objective and closely align with government’s strategic priorities. Develop & lead the subsidiary’s Government engagement. Represent the company in key industry associations, business councils, and Chambers of Commerce. Create opportunities for executives and subject matter experts to provide thought leadership and engage with decision-makers. Draft comments, white papers, and other research for submissions to ministries and other governmental institutions. Monitor, anticipate, and analyze key public policy, regulatory, and legislative developments.

Relevant Master’s Degree (preferred) or Bachelor’s Degree 8 to 15 years of relevant working experience, e.g. from a corporate Public Affairs/Government Affairs role, Management Consultancy, Embassies, Government, Associations, Chambers of Commerce, etc. A combination of both public and private sector experience will be an advantage. Proven experience in working with or within Government institutions in Korea Experience from regulated industry sectors, e.g. Energy, Electronics, Transport, Infrastructure, etc. Ability to and interest in working as part of a team in developing business strategies and plans involving government outreach and engagement. Understanding of the country’s political process and knowledge about how to research and best collaborate with Government institutions to create public value Proficiency in Microsoft Office (esp. Excel and Power Point) Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills Confident, diplomatic, a good team-player Fluent in English (Speaking/ Written)
