The role represents and speaks for the entire IT function to the sub-regional business leadership team, serving as the single point of IT accountability for business leadership while operating through collaboration and influence across regional and global IT teams.
This position directly leads the sub-regional Business Relationship Managers (BRMs) for Commercial and Central Functions and maintains dotted-line reporting relationships with the Supply Chain and Operations BRM as well as the Service Operations team member assigned to the sub-region. The role provides strategic direction and performance input to ensure sub-regional needs and priorities are reflected in functional execution and service delivery.
1. Business Relationship & Strategy Alignment
• Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional business stakeholders
• Understand business strategies and align IT initiatives accordingly
• Define, prioritize, and plan IT improvement initiatives based on business needs
• Participate in operational meetings and strategic planning with business leaders
• Lead the development of business cases and strategic roadmaps
2. Program & Project Leadership
• Partner with PMO to structure and govern IT programs for successful execution
• Lead end-to-end project lifecycle: scope, design, change management, training, go-live
• Select and manage external vendors and delivery partners
• Resolve cross-functional issues and drive timely decision-making
• Ensure quality across testing, documentation, release, and ongoing support
3. Service Operations Management
• Provide regional support for incidents and service requests not handled by global teams
• Oversee VIP support and plant-level IT operations across manufacturing and office sites
• Engage in major incidents; ensure timely resolution and clear communication
• Champion root cause analysis (RCA) and preventive/corrective actions (PCA)
4. Digital Transformation Leadership
• Identify and drive sub-regional digital initiatives aligned with 5-year strategic goals
• Collaborate with business leaders to define KPIs and measure value realization
• Influence cross-functional teams to adopt digital tools and new ways of working
5. People Management
• Lead, coach, and develop a multi-country IT team
• Oversee recruitment, performance reviews, and talent development
• Manage a hybrid workforce including internal and contract resources
6. Financial & Operational Governance
• Own IT budget planning and quarterly forecasts (consulting, training, travel, etc.)
• Contribute to shaping the regional operating model balancing speed, risk, and quality
