Tariff Officer is responsible for preparation of logistics and licenses of bonded area, especially in regards of customs law. Tariff officer will also attend and thoroughly monitor all transactions of bonded goods, such as import, export, carry-in and out, disposal, refund, etc.

Main Duties and Responsibilities: Declaration (Cargo) - Declares import and export of bonded goods (Bill of Landing 반입/반출 신고) - Declares transportation of bonded goods (Bill of Landing 보세운송 신고) - Declares storage of domestic goods after receiving (내국물품 보세구역 장치 신고) - Declares carry-in of domestic exempt liquor for export (수출용 면세주류 반입신고) - Requests for division of cargo management number for partial import clearance (보세화물 분할통관 시 화물관리번호 분할/분할취소 신고) - Declares transfer of bonded goods (보세화물양수도 신고) - Declares prior to disposal of bonded area goods per BL (보세구역 물품 폐기신청 (BL단위) - Declares after disposal of bonded area goods per BL (보세구역 폐기 완료 보고 (BL단위) - Requests creation of cargo management number (e.g. when returning goods which are already reported for use) (화물관리번호 생성신청) - Declares prior to disposal of bonded factory goods (보세공장 물품 폐기신청 (멸각 / 음식물) - Declares after disposal of bonded factory goods (보세공장 물품 폐기완료 보고 (멸각 / 음식물) - Declares transportation of goods in Free Trading Zone (자유무역지역 내국물품 반출목록신고) - Performs autonomous assessment on legal competence in licensed bonded area (특허 보세구역 법규수행능력 자율점검표) Declaration (Airport Monitoring) - Declares prior to disposal of foreign airline goods (외국기용품 및 판매용품 폐기 신청) - Declares after disposal of foreign airline goods (외국선(기)용품 폐기완료 보고) - Declares disposal of airline goods for other purposes (기용품 용도외처분 보고) - Declares passengers on board (탑승자 신고) Declaration (Quarantine) - Requests for inspection and quarantine (검사/검역 신청) Declaration (Requirement) - Declares for import requirements (e.g. CITES declaration for caviar) (수입요건신청) Declaration (Import) - Declares clearance of import goods (e.g. CITES declaration for caviar) (수입신고) - Declares for use of bonded factory goods (보세공장 물품 사용신고) Declaration (Operations) - Reports bonded area operation status (보세구역 운영상황 보고) - Performs assessment on bonded factory stock investigation (보세공장 재고조사 자율점검표) - Declares decrease and increase of bonded area capacity (특허 보세구역 수용능력 증감 신청) - Requests for autonomous management qualification in bonded area (자율관리 보세구역 지정 신청) - Requests for autonomous disposal in bonded factory (자체폐기대상물품 지정신청) Review - Reviews application documents for loading and unloading of airline goods (기용품 적재/하기 허가 신청서류 검토) - Reviews transfer documents of airline goods (기용품 양수양도 보고서류 검토) - Reviews carry-in registration documents for airline goods (기용품 반입등록서류 검토) - Reviews transfer documents of airline goods (기용품 보세운송 신고서류 검토) - Reviews loading and unloading documents for domestic airline goods (기용품 내국물품 적재/하기 허가 신청서류 검토) - Reviews loading documents for airline catering meals (기내식 적재허가 신청서류 검토) - Reviews classification codes for raw material and other materials (원재료 및 기타물품 품목분류(HS CODE 분류) 검토) - Reviews handover certificate of refund goods and carry-in certificate (환급대상물품 인수증 및 반입확인서 검토) Draw up - Draws up documents for shipment (선적서류 작성 (INVOICE, PACKING LIST)) - Draws up documents for surplus goods handling (보세공장 잉여물품관리 대장 작성) - Draws up documents for carrying-in of refund goods (환급대상물품 반입관리 대장 작성) - Draws up carry-in and out of imported goods per B/L (수입화물 반출입관리 대장 작성) - Draws up documents for import and usage of bonded factory raw material (보세공장 원재료 수입 및 사용신고 내역 작성) Handling 1 - Manages clearance date of import and export goods (수출입물품 통관일정 관리 조정) - Calculates various charges for import goods (수입물품 제반비용 정산관리) - Calculates various charges for bonded factory goods reported for use (보세공장 사용신고물품 제반비용 정산관리) - Manages documents for use, import, carry-in, transfer, etc. (문서관리(사용/수입/반입/보세운송등)) - Manages accumulation of goods in bonded store (보세창고 체화재고 관리) - Manages handling of bonded goods (보세화물 취급관리 (화물/공장물품/기용품/잉여물품)) - Declares carry-in and out of goods in Free Trading Zone and manages autonomous assessment elements (자유무역지역 반출입 신고 및 자율점검 사항 관리) - Co-operates with other bonded stores for carry-in and out of goods (타 보세구역과의 반출입 업무협조) Handling 2 - Assist the Planning & supply chain Manager of all material or process. (모든 자재 또는 공정에 대한 계획 및 공급망 관리자 지원) - Manage inventory to ensure stock accuracy. (재고 정확성 확보를 위한 재고 관리) - Perform airline stock management. (항공사 재고 관리 수행) - Manage the inventory level to eliminate (적정 재고 수준 관리) - Check availability within the expiration date of each product (각 제품의 유통기한 내 재고 가용성 확인) etc. (기타업무) - Performs staff training for customs law (관세법규 교육/임직원 대상) - Prepares for audit regarding bonded store and factory (보세창고/공장 재고조사감사 준비, 세관대관업무) - Participates in customs conferences (세관 주최 간담회 참석) - Handles refund and export of goods (반송 및 수출 업무) - Handles contract for moving in to Free Trading Zone (자유무역지역 입주계약신청 업무)

• Bachelor’s degree • Tariff Officer (Bonded Stock/Bonded Area Keeper) license issued by Korean Customs • Relevant education in Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Material management or related field preferred. • Minimum of 1 years’ experience working in volume, manufacturing, food production and restaurant or catering environment is an advantage • Ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment. • Able to resolve the problem for the department • Able to review, observe and analyze the information from various sources • Candidate must be comfortable with all levels of employees and have the ability to drive positive program change. • Excellent time management skills required. Ability to handle multiple tasks without losing focus on priorities. • Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills required. • Must be innovative and have the ability to make changes to the operation as needed to further improve the work environment and unit performance. • Excellent computer skills Microsoft Office required.

• Relevant work experience in Production Planning is a plus. • In-flight catering experience or experience in a volume food service environment is an advantage
