Position Description: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) oversees the daily operations of the Company in South Korea. This role is pivotal in ensuring strategic alignment, operational efficiency, regulatory compliance. The COO reports to the Country Head and functionally to COO in Hong Kong head office. Locally, COO is responsible for managing all supporting functions including Operations, IT, Finance, Admin and Risk and work closely with Compliance team head and HR team in Hong Kong. While all supporting functions maintain vertical reporting lines to the Hong Kong head office, the Korea COO serves as the key local executive responsible for ensuring seamless execution, alignment with global standards, and effective cross-functional coordination.

Operational Leadership: • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the company's goals. • Oversee day-to-day operations across all business lines • Ensure operational excellence, process optimization, and cost efficiency. • Coordinate with teams heads across Operations, Compliance, Legal, IT, Risk, Finance and Administration to ensure seamless execution and alignment with global standards. Regulatory & Compliance Oversight: • Work closely with Compliance team to ensure all activities comply with relevant regulations. • Implement robust internal controls and risk management frameworks. • Stay updated on regulatory changes and adapt operations accordingly. Risk Management & Governance: • Oversee risk assessment procedures for all business activities. • Maintain high standards of corporate governance and ethical practices. • Manage operational risks related to technology, compliance, and market activities. Technology & Infrastructure: • Lead the adoption of advanced technology platforms for trading, analytics, and back-office operations. • Ensure secure, scalable, and efficient IT systems supporting core Financial Management: • Monitor and control operational budgets. • Drive profitability through efficiency improvements and expense management. • Prepare operational reports for executive leadership and board. Stakeholder Engagement: • Build strong relationships with regulators, clients, partners, and internal teams. • Serve as the local liaison for functions with vertical reporting to the Hong Kong head office, ensuring effective communication and operational alignment. • Represent the company in industry forums and regulatory meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. • 15+ years of experience in financial services, with significant exposure to investment banking and broking operations. • Proven track record of leading supporting functions. • Past exposure to financial markets, trading platforms, regulatory environment, and innovation in financial services. • Leadership skills with ability to drive change, cultivate teamwork, and ensure high performance. • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
